"Orthopedic and sports physical therapy is the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of musculoskeletal pathology. I look at all possible pain sources, including; bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons and nerves. I believe that a thorough evaluation is the key to accurate diagnosis, which leads to effective treatment. I treat musculoskeletal problems using manual techniques, exercises, and various modalities to help treat the problem and prevent it from coming back.
My background is primarily in orthopedic and sports medicine. I have over 16 years of clinical experience and expertise in sports related injuries and industrial medicine. I have extensive, specialized training in the rehabilitation of post operative knee and shoulder injuries, foot and ankle injuries and orthotic fabrication. I believe in treating every patient with the utmost care and attention to detail in order to ensure a fast recovery and the best results possible!”

Education
Graduate Degree: Master's in physical therapy from Samuel Merritt College in Oakland, California completed in 1994.
Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor of Science from University of California Davis completed in 1991.
Professional Associations: Member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the American Physical Therapy Association, and member of the National
Pilates Association.
Advanced Training: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Pilates Instructor, and specialized coursework in low back, pelvic and spinal injury. I am also Medicare Certified and highly trained in the treatment of geriatric specific injuries including balance dysfunctions.
Sports Physical Therapy
I have worked closely with high school, collegiate, semi-pro and professional athletes on and off the field including football, baseball, wrestling and soccer for pre sport conditioning and post injury rehabilitation. I have designed and implemented strength and conditioning programs targeted at injury prevention at all levels.
Industrial Medicine
I have over 11 years of clinical experience in industrial medicine and treatment with rehabilitation of work related injuries. I have experience with functional capacity evaluations, work screens, and work conditioning programs. I am passionate about staying current with trends in work related injury rehabilitation, which means state of the art care for my patients.
Presentations and Teaching
I have presented lectures and in-services at several out patient orthopedic clinics and hospitals. I also have been a clinical instructor for PT and PTA programs for the past nine years. I enjoy passing on current rehabilitation knowledge to others and teaching with in the clinic.
